Made the move to Sydney

On January 14 I started my new role as a full time journalist. Before this I was living in Adelaide working three jobs (two only paid) and had little to no time for myself or my friends.

Moving here I have of course lost the opportunity to meet up with my friends but I have moved in with family.

I’ve had the time to reconnect to myself creatively, ground myself in my strengths and acknowledged my weaknesses. This move so far has been easy and hard for obvious reasons.

With a lot more down time I’ve begun immersing myself into more of my old habits of reading and writing.

I have started to feel my creative juices flow again so I thought I would share with you something I wrote on the train home one day.

Little mosquito flitted around slack jawed –

Blue lit passengers unaware or

Not phased by the buzzing thirst

Little mosquito belly full flitting around happy –

To be stick on a train with

Slack jawed blue lit passengers

Recycling the day over again
